    high five, team.
    for being awesome in general.

I love birds...and your pelican is quite dashing. I'd love to pet his pretty little head.

...I think I'd like to have one as a pet.
the only problem, is coming up with a name...
i like pelicans :D very cool!

    Whoops Im being rude...
you did use a reference for this, did you?....

but still it's amazing! i also have watercolor pencils but i was never thought how to use them.
you seem disappointed that i use reference. i'm sorry. however, look at how many people draw badly without reference and never get any better because in their minds they think it looks right. i'm just practicing lately for the most part, i've been in quite the creative slump for a long while. besides, it could be worse... i could be tracing it like they tell students to do at the art institute.

not watercolor pencils... it's a watercolor pen. which means, it's basically a brush with a thick container handle that holds water and i squeeze it a little bit to get the brush tip wet. i still have the little dried pallets of color and mix it all in the plastic lid like in kindergarten. it's a lot of fun. it's just something i can keep in my bag and use anywhere, like my work desk, denny's, some sidewalk corner... anywhere.

no no! that was not what i meant at all! i was unsure if you used a reference or not, since the pelican looks both realistic and a little fantasy. even professionals use references all the time, and i do it too because.. well if i wouldn't my drawings would still look like the ones i made in primairy school. :P

and you're right.. tracing is baaaaaaaaad.

and for the watercolor pen.. i still had no clue what it was so i google'd it. i just meant plain watercolour pencils, they resemble ordinary crayons or colour pencils. :D
oh, and sorry for making you think i was dissapointed. i always tell myself that i'm quite the englisch speaker. but i sometimes give people the wrong idea by using wrong words and ignoring proper interpunction.
don't worry, i wasn't sure if you were disappointed or not. i just have a tendency to ramble, sometimes.

also, your english is fantastic. i really apreciate how many people can communicate in english since i'm such an american and don't know any other languages. so, it's great that you even try.
